Roman baths of Trier In 451 Attila led a horde composed of Huns and Goths across the Rhine into Gaul. Along the way, they sacked and pillaged Rheims, Mainz, Strasbourg, Cologne, Worms and Trier. Bypassing Paris, Attila headed south and fails in front of Orleans. At Châlons-sur-Marne, the Huns were defeated by Romans allied with Goths and Burgundians. |
